The famous fairytale ballet The Nutcracker tells the story of Clara who receives a nutcracker doll as a gift. When Clara goes to sleep, she dances with the Nutcracker in her dream, until they are attacked by the Mouse King and his army of mice. Clara and her nutcracker manage to escape. They end up in a magical world and travel through distant lands...
During the workshop, which is suitable for boys and girls aged 6 to 12, we will bring the story to life together. In a short time we will become acquainted with various aspects of this special ballet: we will travel through different countries, become acquainted with the costumes, the musical instruments and we will learn how to present to music. The workshop will take place in the studio of Pointeworks Dance & Ballet Studio, Kerkstraat 75 in Wassenaar on Friday 16 December from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
The lesson is given by Liane, ballet teacher, she danced in several Nutcracker productions with ballet companies in the Netherlands and in England. The costs for this fun and educational workshop are €5.00 for members and €7.50 for non-members. Ballet dance experience is not necessary. Sign up for this fun afternoon!
